Victoria homes are still moving fast despite higher rates
Mortgage rates climbed above 7% for the first time since January 2025, according to Realtor.com. That is the headline grabbing attention right now. But in Victoria, the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 56 homes sold in ZIP 55386 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. The market here did not stall.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator found that 49% of homes in ZIP 55386 went under contract within two weeks of listing. That share is up 17.6 points from the same three months in 2025. Well-priced homes are still drawing quick offers. Buyers need to be ready to move.
Above-list sales are up sharply
The Real Estate Data Aggregator shows 39.3% of Victoria homes sold above list price in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 14.7 points from a year earlier. The average sale came in at 100.3% of list. Not every home sold above asking, but the direction is clear.
Rates are a real headwind for buyers
Realtor.com reported that mortgage rates climbed above 7% for the first time since January 2025. Nationally, Realtor.com also noted that 20.8% of listings took a price cut in September 2026, the highest share since October 2022. Victoria has not followed that pattern, but buyers here are still feeling the cost.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 36 homes for sale in ZIP 55386 during the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is down 10% from a year before. Supply stayed tight at 2 months, down 0.2 months from 2025. Nationally, Realtor.com put active listings above 1.16 million in September 2026. Victoria is a different story.

What this means for you
For sellers: the Real Estate Data Aggregator shows 49% of homes went under contract within two weeks. Pricing well still matters, because 39.3% sold above list and the median sat at 23 days on market, unchanged from 2025. For buyers: rates above 7%, per Realtor.com, are real. But with only 2 months of supply, waiting does not automatically mean more choices.
